Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter Livestock & Equine Expansion

The Livestock and Equine Expansion included 9 separate structures to create an entirely new Eastern Entrance for the Fairground Campus. These buildings included a 58,000 square foot Conditioned Arena, a 53,000 square foot Covered Connector Buildings and Covered Practice Ring, a 2,300 square foot Restroom Facility, a 2,400 square foot Ticket Booth and Entrance, a 3,300 square foot Security Building and Entrance Guard Office.

International City Builders, Inc. (ICB) worked diligently during the project to help the Owner resolve a critical seating issue. At the mid-point of the project, the Fairground wanted to look at the option of changing the seating structure from an aluminum deck and steel structure to a finished concrete structure to greatly improve the sound quality of the Conditioned Arena. ICB worked with the Architect and the Engineers to develop 3 different structure options with solid surfaces. It was resolved by utilizing on site soils and building the bleacher system on site with formed-in-place concrete risers. This major change was completed without delaying the project completion and making the facility operational for the upcoming Georgia National Fair.
