Renovation of Dillard Hall
As part of the expansion and construction at Middle Georgia College located in Cochran, Georgia, International City Builders, Inc. constructed the new addition to Dillard Hall. This facility, featuring traditional type architecture, is nestled among huge oak trees near the center of the campus.
The Dillard Hall expansion provides the college with an additional 12,000 square-feet, which is an asset that enables the college to better serve the students and surrounding area by offering a state-of-the-art learning facility. This facility is also the home of the college’s Natural Sciences division and includes classes such as biology, chemistry, engineering, physics, surveying and mathematics.
The facility includes 4 laboratories, 2 chemistry laboratories and 2 biology laboratories, which are 1,600 square-feet each. Also included is a large chemistry prep room and biology prep room. All of these rooms are equipped with the most technologically advanced equipment available for teaching laboratories. Other features of the new facility include men’s and women’s bathrooms and lighted display cases along the corridors.
High tech educational equipment was included in the laboratories such as cameras, projectors, speakers in the ceilings, a de-ionized water system and vacuum lines. The biology labs include a laminar flow hood for experiments with living cultures, a water distiller and cubicle stations for exams.
