WARNER ROBINS — The Houston County Commission unanimously approved a construction manager to begin building the Centerville Library, a project more than three years in the making.
Warner Robins construction company International City Builders will oversee the construction of the new library, to be built on Gunn Road.
Construction on the library, budgeted for about $3 million, will begin in the fall, Commissioner Larry Thomson said.
International City Builders will oversee the construction of the 15,500 square foot structure for a cost of $309,619, including $120,000 — 4 percent of the project’s estimated cost — as a services fee during construction, according to county documents.
Of the funds, $137,000 is specifically allocated to buy books for the building.
